Default 69 Camro Restoration Questions

Hello,
I am new to this sight and had some questions regarding my 69 Camaro Coupe. This is an original complete numbers matching car that is in need of everything.
(1) I decoded it to be a factory 327 powerglide, however the fenders had 350 badging?
(2) Also has the chrome fish gills, wheel well chrome, and rocker chrome. which I did not think came with the coupe package?
(3) What is everyones thoghts on the restotration of this car. restore back to all orginal (frost grren car with green intertior) or Clone it into the Camro of my choice. (RS SS 396 or Z28 RS) If I clone I would keep all the original drive train.

I want to be sure I am doing the right thing when I restore her. This will be a full rotisserie restoration.

I am looking forward to your reponse.

as for the 327 Engine with 350 on the fender... I have no idea whats goin on there.

as for the chrome gills, wheel well molding and stuff... My coupe came with it so I always assumed it was something that was standard on Z28, RS, SS since Ive never seen a base model Camaro with it.

as for the build... this will all be a matter of opinion. so.... in my opinion, first of all, "numbers matching" is over rated. unless it was a special optioned low number car or something extremely rare like a ZL1, COPO ect. with that said, I have seen plenty of people build the car they want it or the way they feel that they would enjoy it most and keep all the original stuff so that the car could always be put back if need be.

personally I say build it the way you want it, then drive it like you stole it.

1) The 350 was an SS model only engine. So if your 327 is in fact numbers matching, a previous owner felt the need to put those emblems on. That, or the car could have been restored using front end parts off of an SS.
2) Your bright trim was an available option called Style Trim Group (RPO Z21), and 102,740 69's got it.
3) It's your car, restore it the way that it makes you happiest. If you don't plan on using the 327, be sure to store it away somewhere as matching numbers does help for resale.....even if it isn't in the car any more.

What ^ said. The trim came on all kinds of cars, from SS to base model. The questionable thing is the emblem... perhaps a PO wanted to clone a 350. This kind of begs the question of its really the matching engine, but if you are sure of it then dont worry about it.

Just curious, how did you decode it to be a factory 327 powerglide? Do you have the build sheet.

In case you don't know the rest. V=Flint engine plant, and 1120= Nov. 20 build date.
That's the engine code though. Did you check to see that the partial VIN matches the car?

Yeah everything matched. Checked all the vin locations and they matched also. Tranny numbers and rear end numbers match as well. Thanks for your help.
