69 4 speed clutch issue - help!
Hi Guys
I have a 1969 4 speed camaro and am experiencing an issue with the clutch. I had a new clutch set installed in 2007 and since done about 1500-2000 miles. It used to engage just as I took my foot of the clutch. About 3 weeks ago it felt as if it was slightly slipping at times. I adjusted it and it engaged just as I depressed my foot off the clutch. Last night when I took it out it felt like it was slipping again and suddenly it now doesn’t engage at all. With the foot off the clutch I can change gears but the car doesn’t move. There is no sign of it engaging and there is a smell of clutch burn. Is the clutch gone or could there be something stuck that I can check? I wouldn’t be an expert in this area!
Thanks

Make sure the correct length throwout bearing was used. There is a short and long bearing, depending on the style of pressure plate you use (Borg & Beck, diaphragm, etc.). If the long bearing was used when it should have been the short, the clutch will grab at first, then start to slip as the clutch wears a tiny bit. Go ahead, ask how I know that one, doh! Also, there are different style forks, with different bends to them. Make sure your style is the correct one for your car.

thanks for the suggestions. I think i will need to let the experts look at whether the correct throwout bearing and fork is correct. I would hope they are correct for the application because i paid a transmission crowd in NJ to have a new clutch set and fork installed 4 years ago and i only put about 500 miles up on it a year.
