I am looking at a 67 camaro with 23,744 original miles.
Original paint w/ vinyl top
6 cyl , auto , ps , pb , a/c.. All 100% original...

The car is in super shape. Has been stored inside for 20+ years...

I want to purchase this car for my son & daughter... Is this a collectable car etc ?

Are your son and daughter going to drive it? From a father of a son and daughter driver, I gotta say.......real bad idea. You'll end up giving the term "survivor" a whole new meaning. It's hard to put a price tag on a car like that. 6 cylinder Camaros are becoming a rare breed, let alone the low miles it has. Value is up there, but I don't think as high as $50k. I'm thinking more in the 30's, only because it is still a 6 banger car. There's a 68 Z/28 survivor car near me, not quite as low as this car, and it does need some work. Price is in the mid 20's. Oh, and if you do buy it, leave it as is. Anything you do to alter it's condition will take away from the value.

i think its worth around $25,000. because its a 6cyl. yeah they are becoming rare but they are still a 6. its still a neat find though. its suprising its lasted all this time with the straight 6

 

I think you guys are high on the value. My guess would be 20K and I think it would wait a long time for a buyer at 20K. It is stricky for a collection. You put that car on the road and it will age very quickly. These cars where designed to last 5-7 years after 20 years of sitting every seal in the car and on the body would be dry rotted. Its a solid car but if you restore it it will drop in value. It would be worth about what it cost to restore. Good investment, The only way that car makes you any money is if you get it real cheap and sell it right away or the market goes back to where it was 4 years ago.

FYI these straight 6 (old peoples cars) show up at the auction a few times a year. In recent years I have not seen one go north of 12K. 8-11K is the norm, 4 years ago I would have expected 16K for a car like that at auction. While it is a collectors car most collectors will stop look say yea thats nice and keep on walking.
