2nd Gen. Project - California Survivor
Am out in Cali. on business for the last month,And had to check, to see what's still around surviving.
So a late night check of Craig's list I spotted this.
1979 Camaro,No Motor or Trans $150.00
Well, just had to make the run to see it the next day as soon as the guy got home from work.
This is one clean car that has been sitting for about 10 years. The guy had bought it just for the motor and trans.
It was original a white exterior. The interior is nice with a tear on the drivers seat. The body is solid as can be except for the decklid above the spoiler,a half door spot on the inside rear of the pass. doorskin, and the biggest problem is the cowl panel were the hood hinges mount. (I haven't found any reproductions out there yet, anyone making them?)
This car will be shipped in the next few weeks to Michigan to receive a totally rebuilt .60 over 350 S.B. I did for my 84 suburban about 6 years ago, that has about 12,000 miles since rebuild. The hood (which will get replaced)and the front fenders were hand rubbed last weekend,The rest of the car has only been wipped down. she won't be a show winner as she sits, but will be respectable till it gets a restortion done some time in the near future.
Here's a link to some more pictures,
