My gas gauge with the ing turned off the needle goes down to 1/4 not all the way to empty. With the ing turned on it goes up to about where the gas level should be.
Should I take the gauge out and manually set it to empty, and put it back in?
Should mention that the car had been in storage for 14 years and I have re[laced the gas tank and sender, could it be the sender has to be adjusted?

As long as it's good with the ignition on, don't worry what it says off.
