Hi all im 19 just bought 67 camaro stole it for 1500. the problem i am having is i cant get power to the fuse box i checked the wiring harness and all the wires look good the thing i dont understand is how does power flow from the battery to the fuse box is there a direct power wire? My entire family keeps telling me that this was a stupid buy and i should get rid of it, please help me prove them wrong.

Start at the battery positive cable,
You will see a red pigtail and follow it to the junction block on the radiator support next to the battery.
On this block is a red wire going across the rad support to the horn relay buss bar.
On the buss bar, there is another red wire going to the firewall connector.
Disconnect the ground cable and remove each red wire and wire brush the terminal ends and reassemble.
Clean the battery posts and battery cables, including the surface the ground cable touches.
Also, on the alternator, you will find a red wire on the BATT stud. Same action here, disassemble, wire brush and reassemble.
You might externally recharge the battery while doing this work, just to help out the battery.
You also might get a manual for the Camaro, might be Haynes at your local parts store or Amazon.com.
You can visit www.firstgens.com, register there, and download the AIM, (Assembly Instruction Manual) and have a manual of how the Camaro was built. Inside is a plethora of info, including a wiring diagram, Section UPC 12.


Oh, welcome to the Club! Is the Camaro pretty much original equipment?

 

I have a 67 camaro rs. Electrical hideaway headlights. I have been having problems recently. It has keyless entry, but now, the passenger door wont lock or unlock with the remote. When i lock the car, the tailights blink twice, but only one of the left tailights lights up, but its fine when im driving. also, my reverse lights come on randomly when i drive. The right healight door wont open, but it will close. When i turn on my headlights, sometimes they dont turn on, i have to hit the dimmer switch and put them on brights for them to work. Also, the interior lights for the speedo and gauges is off alot of the time, and i have to fiddle with the headlight/interior dimmer to make them work. hah oh jeeze what else is wrong. Oh, my alarm doesnt sound anymore..i think that is it. ha If anybody can help with ANY of these problems, i would really appreciate it. I dont have much money, so taking it to a place might be out of the question, but if anyone knows a good place around the SFV thanks
