Default 67 camaro ventage air

Has anyone had vintage A/C added to there 67 camaro?

My camaro never came with A/C.

And how much does cost to have vintage air installed.

I put Classic Auto Air in my 67 RS that didn't come with A/C about 6 months ago and it was pretty easy. The kit was about $2,400 and when I called around to some places that had done others, I got quotes anywhere from $12K to $17K. Go for it there are some pretty good sites on the internet that helped with showing some of the things I didn't quite understand. Oh, and I paid a guy about $200 to charge the system after I put it all in. Trickiest part was drilling holes in the dash to put the side vents in. Good luck!

I did not remove the fender. If you zoom in to the upper left you can see I used a Sawzall to cut the heater cover as close as I could to the inner fender. I took my time over probably 4 weekends working maybe a total of 10-12 hours. If I didn't screw around listening to tunes, mowing the lawn, doing honey do's, and doing other stuff at the same time, I could have probably narrowed it down to 3-4 hours. I have some other pictures of various steps and some internet links if you need anything. Good luck with it. Rob

Thanks, I know the port holes on the side could be a problem, also the upper center vent. I was told I needed to upgrade my alternator and add electric fans and hell just add a serpentine belts system too. Unfortunately I need to have my oil pan replaced because of oil leaks so I'm having my engine pulled at the same time. Should be in the shop for a week. I wish I could also upgrade the engine too, But my 327 bored out to 350 does the job, My first 327 was in my 1965 impala SS, but I hated the powerglide transmission. At least my 67 has a 700r4 tranny in it..

Thanks
Robert

Few people I ask with 1st gens here in SoCal say they paid around $1500 to install vintage air (not including cost of system)
