I have a 67 RSSS 396 car I bought and started working on it and checking the color, I noticed it is a special paint order code 0 2- the 0 is paint the 2 is vinyl top color which is black.
Now the problem. I have searched and found 0-2 is road commission orange.
But can't find any signs of the color on the car I found silver under fender when I pulled it off and silver seems to be on floor pans also looks like car was painted blue also. Now what colors did they use for special paint? I know the orange and silver was not a color you could choose no code for them. Does anyone know anything about this. Thanks

 

As far as I'm aware, the "O" on the trim tag just tells that the car received special paint, but isn't a code specific to what the color it is.
That's something that the original order or build sheet would have shown.

 

Ok, that's long gone. Did the paint the floor pans also when they painted the car

The floors were coated with a flat greenish color. You'd have some body color overspray at the threshold, but you might not be sure if that was original or repaint if it's the same color as the rest.

 

I think I will go red commission orange with it, Thank you for the response just dont like silver. Lol

 

that must be 67 only ive seen two camaros (a 68 and a 69) with no paint code at all just a blank space where it should be. the 68 was painted that dark pontiac green and the 69 the redish orange on 69 gto judges from the factory

 

The "O" custom paint code is a 67 thing. In 68, the O is Corvette Bronze. In 69, the paint codes were two digit numbers.
And yes, no code on 68-69 tags is special order color.
