Never bought an old car sight unseen, I want to see what I'm getting into and be able to poke and prod where necessary. Not to mention, some sellers seem to have a different idea of what "great condition" means. But from others, I've heard about more getting screwed as opposed to them getting what was described. Buyer beware!

i understand what you are saying, however i think the guy is legit from talking with him. just wondering if there are any tips anyone can give me on this. he is only asking $500, so the price is right. just wish it was closer, so i could go look at it.

wonder what shipping just body would cost. he will have it on a pallet and load it on truck for free.

$500 is dirt cheap, even scrap metal value would be more than that. Did he show you pictures of the body? Can't answer you on the shipping cost, you'll have to call around.
