Muncie linkage will not work on a Saginaw and vice versa.

The car has a hurst shifter now but I want to put a console in and that shifter will not work ,so I thought I could get a stock shifter and us the shifter rods on the car now maybe? ? Even though its a muncie shifter on saginaw trans but am just guess lol

why wont the current shifter work with a console? i dont think the bends are different. i think a different boot is needed and the the console needs to be a manual unit.

there should be a specific shifter rod (handle) that will work with consoles made by hurst that will bolt to your current sifter,, make sure its for a saginaw with hurst shifter for a car with console.
