1st Post This is a good one
Hey everyone, my 1st post and I'm really needing some advice. My first car many many years ago was a 69 Camaro. I loved that car more than my girlfriends and I foolishly sold it and have always regretted it. The 69 has always had a special place in my heart and had hoped to get one after I retire in a couple of years. But, as we know, the prices are really high and out of my price range. I just so happened to be surfing the internet a few days ago and found a 69 Camaro that the guy selling it saved it from the scrap yard. It still has good bones and really doesn't look all that bad. But it still needs a LOT of work and a LOT of pieces. I can buy it for 5k and I think that is a good price. But I would appreciate your feedback because I need to know if you all think its "worth" the money and time and also if it CAN be restored. Thanks so much for your feedback.

SoCal is right but sometimes it's the only route if you can't buy one ready to go.
Just don't expect to end up with a car worth as much or more that you spent to get it there and expect it will cost more and take longer than you think to get it done.
$5K is about the bottom of the value line for a frame with a title these days, make sure you can get a clean numbers matching title before you must that money in his hand.
Good luck and keep us posted, had a '69 for 14 years and as you regret selling it and can't afford another that's turnkey.
