The vin# is 124679N634478 ....engine is stamped by oil filter with 634478
transmission is stamped with 19N634278 Im third owner and know the other two owners. The transmission has never changed yet 4th digit down is a 2 not 4 any thoughts?

 

Could be a GM mis-stamp as the probability of the odds in getting a VIN trans 2XX numbers off is very high, but stranger things have happened.
