Maybe the 3rd times a charm looking @ this 396 I think its another police motor. T0428jo casting 3955272 why are the hp so low thought the lowest 396. Was 325 thanks guys

 

Jeez, where do you keep finding the 396's? The 265 hp came with a 2 barrel carb, and larger chamber heads to lower the c.r. Both of those can be remedied (if they haven't already) with a good 4 barrel setup, and a shave job on the heads. What's your plan anyway, to drop the engine in as is and hope for the best, or are you going to rebuild it?

 

This one is in indy and has all the pullys and brackets and exhaust manifolds a 4 barrel. Carb looks to be all stock the fan is still on it I made him a offer he's suppose to call me tomorrow and let me know and I would like to drop it in and get one summer out of it before I have to rebuild. It my oldest is in her last year of collage and her boyfriend just picked up a 70 nova project. So this summer looks to be very busy lol
