Hello everyone. I finally starting to finish up my 1968 Camaro that I have had for 26 years sitting in a garage.
I have a fiberglass front end that I want to go back to sheet metal so I need to buy the complete front end. Will the fenders, grill and hood for a 1969 Camaro bolt up to a 1968 Camaro? I like the 69 a little better so if I can upgrade I would like to do it now. I would think it should, but I'm not sure how much was changed for 1969.
And if anyone wants to buy a fiberglass front end let me know. It's a two piece with a separate hood.

If you like '69's better I'd suggest selling your '68 and buying a '69.
I think a '69 front clip may well bolt on,the doors are the same if I remember right but the rest of the car will still be '68 and it will look all wrong obviously having been bastardized.
I knew a guy that had a '68 Camaro front clip on a '67 Firebird ragtop years ago,he got flicked a lot of crap about it. lol

Thanks, I'm not worried about getting ****, it's more of a ****ty track car. But you may have a point of it not looking right. The fender wheel wells are more horizontal on the 69. The front grill is more what I was wanting.
I'll consider your point though. I can get the 69 complete front end with cowl hood for $1000 so that's another reason.

Let me maybe ask another question. Would I be able to use 68 fenders and a 69 bumper, grill, header and lower valance.
Sorry if this sounds dumb. I'm just trying to figure my options and learn a little about these cars while I'm at it.

The '69 front end is shaped a bit different just for starters,as far as I can remember the only body parts that are the same are the doors trunk lid and hood.
If you want a '69 front end the whole front clip will be the way to go.

69 doors are one year only fit, the curvatures on the hinge end and latch end are different, and the body lines don't match up to a 67-68. The only body parts that are interchangeable is the hood and trunk lid. The grilles are shaped way differently, as are the bumpers. The easiest (I didn't say easy) way to go would be to modify a 69 grille to fit. The 69's is about 5" wider than 67-68, and fits in the opening differently. So you would need to do a lot of cutting, fitting, grinding, and plastic welding. It has been done before though.
