Default 1967 disc brakes drag and gets hot

Hi! i have brand new disc brakes in front and i noticed that they drag little and car stops by its self in low speed because of this, is this a problem in the brake caliber itself or maybe in the proportion valve? Its not too bad and the rims don´t get too warm but they do drag little so i wan´t to do something about that

yep, if someone has had the same problem and knows where the problem is it would be extremely good! I think that maybe the sliding pins in the calibers won´t slide anymore and need to lubricate them or something like that? But it seem to me that the brake pressure stays, even when i release the brake bedal...there seems to be little pressure and it brakes all the time. How can i fix that?

If the sliders are clean and moving freely, there is a good chance that the piston is corroded and not able to retract. The piston relies on the neoprene cover to keep it from corroding, and to provide the force to retract it. So if the cover is damaged you will have both problems. Best bet, get rebuilt calipers, it is not worth the effort to rebuild them yourself.

well in my case thats not the problem because the calibers are brand new, they have been in the car for while but the car has not been driven much since the install. I think that the previous owner have not lubricated them during the install but as soon as i get to the car again i´ll check that out.

You still have air in you lines--i took me a whole quart of bleeding to get it all out of the system--Just finished today--it seemed we bleed the brakes for hours too
