You might have to pull the window regulator and window out. Maybe this will help.

Maybe I did not specify, I am trying to remove the inside door handle. Since I have the Delux door panels they come with a cupped surface that prevents me from seeing or having access to the screw that is holding down the inside door handle. There is not enough room to even see the screw but I can feel it and there is certainly no tool that can fit as the space is less than 1 inch. Here is a picture I found on the web, mind you that the clip at the rear of the door handle has already been removed but on the front of the door handle there is a hold down screw that I can not get to.

Hmmm.never dealt with that,is it possible you could remove the door panel without removing the handle by taking everything else loose and slipping it over the handle?
There's got to be a way.

Yes, great threads both of them but are lacking a pic or actually detailing the removals of the screw other than by lifting the handle to have better access. Since mine does not look like its an allen bolt I am stuck with it as its a phillips head. I know for a fact I am going back to replacing these panels with standard panels just out of the frustration they have caused me since day 2. Then again, maybe I'll just have a body shop deal with it when I have them adjust the windows

Well then why not just cut access in the panel unless you plan to save them for resale or something.

That will be the way I will go given I can't get them off. I will wait for the rains to end here and try once more with a new set of eyes, last option will be ruin the existing panels.

What leaf springs do you have on your car? Where did you get them? My 67 is sitting to low on rear and like the look of yours!

With normal springs a spring show could get you within 1/8" of what you request, I have no idea if that can be done with mono leaf.
