Lol, you use a wet sponge, not dripping wet. Water will get on the car, not into it. It doesn't soak down the car and get into the leaky seals like hitting it with a hose does.

One more reply and then I’m done. After seeing that crack, I don’t think its possible to find any leaking water in the trunk with or without a flashlight.

I’m pretty sure it’s the second gasket around the lens that’s missing. I ordered one and it should be here in the next day or so.
