Hi everyone. I am new to the forums and hoping that someone may have some thoughts on my situation since you all are familiar with Camaros. I have a 2023 Chevy Camaro with 600 miles on it that I purchased back in July. It is not a convertible, but it does have sunroof. About a month after I purchased it, I noticed that whenever it rains the water is entering the car and pools on the rear passenger floor right where the metal seat track is. I do not think this is sunroof related as the water is not even close to it. It is the same scenario every time it rains. I brought it to the dealer I purchased it from twice and first they said I left the window open and then they said they did all their leak tests and air pressure tests and found nothing. I sat in the car while someone sprayed the garden hose and took a video of the water pouring into the car. I sent everything to GM and opened several cases. I went to a different dealer this past February and their experts "adjusted" the door and said it was good to go. A few weeks ago, after it rained, I checked inside the car and there was even more water in that same location, so much so now all the wiring for the seats is getting wet. I have an appointment next week yet again and another case has been opened with GM. When I open and shut the passenger door it does not feel the same as when I open and close the driver door. I am not sure how to describe it, but it seems lighter or something, not sure just seems like there is something off about it. If anyone has any thoughts or suggestions, I would greatly appreciate the help.
Wow that sucks,I'd be upset as hell.
Wish I had an answer, only thing I can think of is to have a good body shop take a look at it not that you should have to.
Hope the dealer can get it sorted out,if not file a lemon lawsuit and ask for another car.
YES!!! I'm glad I'm not the only one to experience this hell. Been to multiple dealerships back in 2022 to fix it while it was in bumper to bumper. They kept saying I left the window down too. Finally took it in immediately after seeing the puddle, they said they fixed a seal. Here I am a year later and it's still happening, everyone saying they can't find the issue and no one willing to help. Did you have any luck?

Hi! After being in contact with GM corporate at least once a week and speaking with a representative in the lemon law office, I sent Chevy/GM a certified letter about my Camaro and lemon law. I then brought my car into the dealership one last time. Finally, I got the mechanic that would actually listen (plus all my other written and verbal correspondence) and my Camaro has not leaked since (knock on wood) this past April. We have had some heavy, heavy rainstorms and I even ran the garden hose full pressure and perfectly dry inside. The mechanic ended up having to remove the headliner and found that the sunroof drain hose was attached but loose on trough, just enough for the water to escape. He reinstalled the hose and headliner. I had my car back in 2 days.
I know how you feel when go to open the car door and it looks like a pond. It is beyond frustrating and then on top of it all people do not listen. At one point it was suggested that I park my Camaro under a tree, so it stays dry. I hope this helps you and please send me an update if you can. Good luck!
Yeah, water leaks in the '21s can be a pain. I had a similar issue on my '22 SS where the passenger door seal was compromised, ended up replacing it with a higher quality one and it's good to go. Check that seal, it's probably the culprit.
Had the same issue on my '22 — turned out the door seal had a small gap near the bottom corner that you could barely see. Dealer actually fixed it under warranty no problem, just had to show them where water was pooling on the carpet after a good
Had the same issue on my 2021 SS. Turns out the issue is usually due to the water management system on the passenger side, which is prone to clogging. You might want to check if there's any debris or dirt blocking the drain tubes in the door sill.
