Thumbs up 2011 2ss auto questions

just bought a 2ss auto,,dont want to waste my money on aftermarket crap that doesnt work. i raced sleds for yrs and have had more than a few occasions to dyno my race sleds. i know that most,,not all performance goodies make less hp and very few parts( bolt ons) actually work. last car i built was a 79 corvette and its been 14 yrs since i,ve had a toy. if anyone with real knowledge about air intakes exhaust ecu remap,, etc that actually work i would like to hear from u ,, e-mail me if that works for u,,or post it. i have also seen (with sleds) decent #,s on the dyno actually went slower in real world conditions. dont want a loss of torque,,or hp and have to spend money for it. i,ll be hittin the 1/8 mile strip near me after its broken in. what works,,what dont. thx for the info,,,,dan

I think the problem you are having is that when I say I have a bolt on CAI and Exhuast and I say I like it. That isnt provable, and you seem to be looking for details, which I dont have other that what the manufacturer of the items I have provide. I have also heard that the remapping really brings some benefit, but I havent gotten that done yet.

I have the K&N intake and flowmaster exhaust. I really am thinking on a diablo tuner, so I can DIY it. Then I can tune on the fly or learn how anyway. If I want it dialed in more I can send the log files to be looked at. I always preferr to buy the tool myself anyway. Im in CO, so no idea of tune shops for you.

That is my install thread, the video is with no exaust from the cat back. I had to go back and see what I had to say about it since I dont notice anything now since it is the norm. I just thought it was more responsive, I put on the FM after the K&N though so the effect was more than just exhaust driven.

The K&N is not the best, the Injen had the best average HP & TQ of those tested on a V6:
