Default 2002 camaro #6 in misfireing

Here i have a 2002 camaro with the V6 3.8 in it. I noticed that the car was not fireing properly so i changed the oil and the spark plus and wires and distrubator and yet #6 is still reading as a misfire. and when i hit 2500 to 3000 rpm's it back fires. Any help would be greatly appreicated.

How did you manage to change a non existing distributor? There are three basic things to make an engine fire. Ignition, fuel and compression. Recheck the plugs and plug wires for # 6 cylinder, check coil for #6, check ignition module. If OK then check injector for # 6. If both items are working properly, do a compression check on all cylinders and note how #6 compares with rest of cylinders.
