Looking for some information.

Being that the tachometer in the Gen 5's are tucked behind the steering wheel and low thus hard to see while driving and shifting I want to mount just a shift indicator light somewhere on the dash where visible. Mind you, only a light, not a big bulky tachometer, which there is no room for, but just a light.

Has anyone done this? Is it possible? Any experience out there?
