Default Spare tire?

My new Camaro has no spare tire and I am not sure one is an option. As far as I know all Camaro's come with an air pump filled with tire sealer which operates on the current from the 12 volt power ports. Not good at all if you have a blow out.
The Dodge Challenger had this same issue but a spare is an option.
Does anyone know if a spare tire is available for the new Camaro. My car has the 19 inch wheels. What size spare would be acceptable? Also what about a jack? Will a spare tire even fit in the trunkwell?

The spare tire is now an "option" for most new GM cars. The best theory I can come up with is that spare tires add weight to the car, and with most people's insurance today, free towing is available in the event of a blowout. Also, there have been many issues (personal experience with gf's car) where the spare tire is rotted out and useless anyway. But to answer your question, yes, the spare tire is an option for an extra $250.

My wife and I have a G8 GT and the same is true for her car. There is a can of tire inflatafix and a small 12 volt air compressor in place of the spare. This mostly seen if you get the "summer" only tires. The perelli tires on the SS camaro's are about $465.00 a piece right now.
