Default RS pkg, is it worth it?

Just ordered a 2011 2SS and still have a week or 2 to decide if I want the RS pkg. Is it worth it and also does this change the badging? I like the ss badging on the front grille, thanks for any opinions.

I have a 1SS and didnt want to pay more for headlights and darker taillights. I just wanted the power without the fluff, so IMO no its not worth it. But it does look nice.

I am pretty sure when you add the RS package it makes your SS red to indicate SS with RS.

I'll be debating with the same question soon enough...I love the look of the HIDs...but I'm pretty confident that even if you didn't go with it...there will be aftermarket projector setups that looks just as good for waaay cheaper...

in my opinion, the halos are either too big or projectors too small, I didn't add the RS package because of that and the fact that no matter how nice they 20"s from chevy may be. There is a vast universe of rims selection to make your camaro "yours". Found a site online selling halo sets, thinking of picking that up and calling it a day!

I think the RS package is worth it just for not having to go through the hassle of getting aftermarket parts to get what the package gives. Also, no cash out of pocket to get those either. It just adds a bit extra each month. I'm cool with that.

Historically the RS Package has been worth it in resale value alone. Even on the now cheap mid 90's 4th gens the RS package adds almost 1:1 value to the car. Meaning a $700 RS package new adds almost $700 to the used price car 15 years later. That is tuff to find in any other option.

lets not forget the body colored drip rail molding, not such a big deal on a dark car...but I didn't want that black strip down the roof line of my IOM car.

i have an ss/rs... got the rs package because i like the HIDs superior night visiability and also the dark tails complement the black paint imo. Midnight silver wheels are nice, but i went with the polished alum. i also didnt want the fluffy 2ss... could care less about leather bluetooth and light up door panels :P just wanted my ls3 with a tr6060
