Default RS / Non-RS Xenon HID Harness (?)

So I got me a pair of brand new Camaro RS headlights, the HIDs with the white halo. Supposedly two companies make harnesses so you can plug these lights into a non-RS camaro. But so fare I've had no luck. The AAC harness was complete fail. Another company, OttoBody says they make a harness, but after 2 months I'm still waiting for any information, even a link of where to buy. So now I'm stuck with these two kick *** headlights sitting in my living room. I usually use the Camaro5 forum, so I'm hoping someone here knows of a 3rd company that makes a harness kit, that hasn't made it over to the other forum yet. I got such a good deal on these lights, I'm sure I could break even. But still, I want them on my car! It's so frustrating. Especially when all the aftermarket companies are so lacking in details about their products. The attitude always seems to be "I don't have time to answer your questions, just buy it and figure it out"

Really? Well I applaud you for pioneering a solution to the RS headlight conversion. I'm also glad you laid my theory to rest on the H13 HID harness connected to the the RS headlights too. Keep us posted and if you were closer to the Dallas area I would be more than glad to help figure out a way to make it work. Take care!

Definitely not pioneering anything. Many people have done this before me. Others just had more luck with the AAC kit than I had. I wish a more reputable company made a harness. These xenon's sitting in a box are driving me CRAZY!!!!

*ping*
Anyone know of another source for a wiring kit? Every time I see these lights setting in the boxes, I get pissed. Part of me wants to just re-sell the HIDs and be done with it. But I know eventually I'll regret that.

I am in the same boat...I was able to get a GM harness. It is not good....the lighting harness ties into, well I am not sure LETS JUST SAY A LOT. I just ordered a manual from Helms and I am hoping to get some answers on the wiring. All the relays are the same, although the harness also gets wired in to the dashboard. Not fun!!!

Your best bet maybe to go to the dealer. I got lucky and the dealer was able to order the harness.
I guess a couple of nasty grams to GM may have helped.
I got the whole harness for less than $200. I jumped the gun on my last post. I just got the Helms manual, all wiring is in the engine compartment. It will be a big job, but it will be worth it. Its all plugins. Hopefully the BCM will not need programing. If so I will have to bring the car to the dealership.
Good luck, I will post my results after I do the installation.
Ron
