I just got home with my 2018 camaro1lt v6. I noticed on the highway that I was getting quite a bit of shuddering going on that felt like either engine missing or something in the drivetrain was vibrating through the car. Anyone else experience this in their v6? Its a 8 speed automatic. Could this be a transmission problem?

How many miles are on the car? Was it sitting for an extended period before you bought it?
Did you test drive it at any highway speeds before buying?
If it's been sitting for a while it could be tires, check the date code on those .
Is it leaking anything on the ground? Unless it has a lot of miles on it I wouldn't suspect the trans.
How long have you had it was this your first drive?

It has 48000 miles. When I took it for a test ride yesterday I didn't notice this behaviour. It was sitting in the car lot for 5 months but surely it was moved around the lot every now and then. It feels like when you drive over those speed slow down grooves in assvault roads. Very shuddery like.. The engine idles very smooth though.I noticed as I was on the highway at 70 on cruise control that whenever I got to a rising part of a hilly area and that it shuddered the most but when under the slight load from going up hill that it seed the worst. As I got to the downside of the hill it was practically gone. That is under load going up a hill it was much worse than going with out the car under a load. I hope I am making sense. I didn't take it on a high speed road when I 1st drove it. I only drove it on two lane city streets. 30 to 45 mph.It can't be tires because it is not consistant at all speeds. mainly under load. I can't check it for leaks now because it's to dark out to see well. I doubt it is leaking because when I drove it at first the spot where it was parked was dry. Could it need a good decabonizing with seafoam or something?

At 48K I wouldn't suspect the trans unless maybe the car had been abused.
I would think if it was engine or trans there'd be a check engine light.
My next thought would be a driveline issue like a bad u-joint or carrier bearing if it's a 2 piece shaft,I don't know the later model cars that well.
My wife's 2017 Caddy XT5 SUV has the 8 speed and it's smooth as can be with 55K miles on it and it's AWD and a lot heavier than a Camaro.

So it appears to be a known problem with certain year /model cars.
I guess the good news is it's a relatively easy fix that your local Chevy dealer should be familiar with.
I'm glad to see the wife's Caddy XT5 isn't on the list.

The dealer paid for the transmission flush and everything is working well now. Thanks for all the advice on this forum.
