Hi. I just got a Hushmaster installed and am really disappointed - hardly no change in sound from stock. Mechanic said he can remove the resonators to make it louder. What do you guys think.

and another note: i did not order it. my so called mechanic put it on after i told him i wanted it to sound better than the dreaded mustang. now i'm stuck with a $500 piece of ****.

Better is a matter of opinion. Maybe the mecanic thought it would sound better. Did you tell the mechanic you wanted it louder. Anyway, you might as well try taking out the baffles.

In the future, look at youtube or ask others before buying exhaust. Sound is a personally thing. Look at all the rice burners running around with what sounds like a hole in the muffler. I would hurt any mechanic that made my car sound like that.

 

Yes, I did tell him I wanted it louder. Thanks for the advice - will have baffles removed. (I only get an attitude when I'm dissed like the bozo who first replied to this.)
