Hello I purchased a 2010 camaro a few years ago. It’s a bumblebee, I always just assumed it was a true transformers edition. It has the proper stripes and auto it inscription. Hub cap emblems and sill plates. I’ve realized this once that the fender emblems weren’t from gm. They could have just been cheap replacements though if something happened to the originals.

anyway I am wondering how can I check if it’s a factory transformers edition or if someone made a rally yellow camaro into a bumblebee. Can this be done at the dealer with the vin?

 

Do you know what a RPO code is? All options have a RPO codes. Based on a quick google search the RPO for the transformer edition is "CTH" Also the RPO codes are normally on a sticker in the trunk or glove box.

I also believe dealers can bring up the option a car came with based on the Vin, but there is no direct connection to minor options and the vin. There may be a way to connect to GM web site based on VIN. When I bought my wife Transvers I registered it on GM's web site. Once I put in the Vin number it told me a lot about the SUV. It may show you options but I can not say I looked that hard. It did tell be about the radio which was optional.
