Default Hail Damaged Camaro

I'm looking at getting a used 2010 Camaro (which appears to be the Bumblee edition) that was damaged by hail. I am going tomorrow to check it out in person but from what I've seen the damage isn't bad at all. To be quite frank, I couldn't care less about hail damage, and don't have enough money to be picky, and I just think it's worth a look and a test drive. It's being priced at $9.5k and is most likely a salvage title. Hail damage is the only issue with the car (unless they are withholding info, which is possible, although the dealer is well rated).
Anyway my big concern is the insurance.
Being a sportscar, that automatically drives rates up, but from what I've heard salvage titles can be a different story.
Anyone have any experience on this?
Btw I live in Minnesota and although I've heard that if you're a good driver you shouldn't have any issues in the snow, I'm concerned about that as well. Def would be getting snow tires or at least all seasons.
Thanks and please go easy on me I'm not even a big camaro guy I just found a possibly good deal and figured yall might have some experience with this.

The first thing that comes to mind is if the car has a salvage title, what will the insurance company pay if the car was declared a total loss again. If you are buying the car and financing an amount over half the book value, you could be putting yourself at risk. You could end up not getting enough from a insurance settlement to pay off the balance of what you have financed. This may vary from state to state, but I've been told insurance companies won't pay above 1/2 of the current book value for a car that has been totaled with a previous salvage title. I would check with your insurance provider before purchasing to be sure.

Some insurance companies, Nationwide for one, will not issue collision coverage on a salvage or rebuilt title car. Which means liability only, which you don't want on a car of any value. I've had a couple of cars that had hail damage, Dentbusters (paintless repair) does wonders where you can't even tell.

I agree, when I looked into it I could neither finance or fully insure a Rebuild title car here in PA. After what happened to my 2000 SS a few months back I would not want a car worth more than $2500 with out comprehensive and collision. I hit a rim and tire off a semi at night. I never saw it coming and the structure of the car was damaged so bad it would have been totaled if it was worth 30K.
