Unhappy Engine Error Code on 2010

Thursday evening I went through a touch free car wash. As soon as I pulled out I noticed check engine light had come one. I though maybe something needed to dry out but it rained yesterday and today so nothing is dry. Took in to get diagnosed this morning. Result: P2090/Exhaust Camshaft Position Actuator Solenoid Vavle Control Circuit Low Voltage Bank 1.

The "Auto Check" I took it to was not even sure what that meant and said take to Chevy and double check. I started looking online and have seen things from un-hook battery and it would reset, to doing a manual reset in car. Some have suggested online that perhaps it is a false reading because if it were "real" it would say Bank 2 as well.

So, after reading what other people think when other people have had this issue I thought I would ask you all here and describe my own issue and how it came about.

Any suggestions??? Thanks.

If it has a warranty, take it to the dealer and let them fix it and stop worrying about it.

It sure should be under warranty~It is 2 yr old (2010 model) and has 24k miles on it but I bought it used from CarMax Dec 2010 so I do not have the orginal warranty and I am unsure how to handle this.

Call your local dealer and have them look it up using the VIN.

Your car is covered by the factory warranty. It has a 3 year/36,000 mile bumper to bumper, and a 5 year/100,000 mile powertrain warranty. Take it into the dealer and let them fix it, it's covered.
If this was an extended warranty that you bought, that would be one thing. But the manufacturers warranty follows the car, and to the next owner.
Right from Chevy's mouth: "The warranty transfers automatically with vehicle ownership during the warranty period". Chevy Warranty Information | Owners | Chevrolet

Also note that all emission items are cover for 5 years 50,000 miles regarless of other warranties or how many owners have had the car. It is not something GM has any say about, its the law. To the best of my knowldge EVERYTHING in the fuel injection and ignition system is concidered an emission item.
The only way a dealer can get out of fixing is if you tampered with it.
