Default Difference between styles

Ok so my uncle just bought a 2010 RS/SS. He explained a little bit about the difference, but im still unsure. What exactly is the difference between the SS, RS, RS/SS? Can somebody list the specs of each? Any help is much appreciated.

SS = any V8 Camaro
RS = Appearance package (no performance upgrades) available on V6 or V8 cars
RS/SS = Camaro SS equipped with RS appearance package

Any SS is going to be a V8. You can notice the V8 by the mail box slot grill opening above the bowtie. The second way you can tell the V8 is the brembo brake calipers. If you get inside the SS model, the speedo goes up to 180 MPH and the SS emblem is on the steering wheel. The final way to distinguish the two is the lower grill of the SS model is about an inch lower than the fog lights; the bottom of the V6 lower grill is even with the bottom of the fog lights. Then of course, there's the sound too.

The RS package adds the halos and HID headlights, spoiler, darker red tail lights, color matched roof ditch moldings and 20" wheels for the V6 models. It's pathetic I've spent this much time splitting hairs over the styling differences. Hope this helps.

pezlow, you got almost everything, you do get the 20" wheels, but they're polished with the RS pkg, painted without.

Did a little research today and found out something about those "darker tail lights". It seems the red lens isn't actually "darker" but the area around the half moon shape of is black instead of chrome. My friend and I were talking about how cool clear lenses would look on the car and saw a video for installing the half moon halos on the tail lights. Turns out, the honey comb half moon piece is clear while the rectangular border is chrome or black (black if you have the RS package). When I build up the courage, I will remove the red lens and roll with just the honey comb half moons in the lights. They will be clear and hopefully look awesome. I will post updates.

I saw one with halos in the taillights a little while ago. very subtle and very tastefully done. it looked great.
