Default Considering purchasing a 2010-2012 Camaro SS

Wassup guys I'm new to this and buying muscle cars. I am 19 and currently thinking about buying a 2010-2012 Camaro SS. They are in my price range. But I need help from you all because I am a first time car buyer. A 2010 or 2011 Camaro SS with around 55,000 to 65,000 miles costs around $16,500 to $18,500 before taxes and things like that. My insurance guy gave me a quote for $269 a month. So now it is critical for me to get the best price possible. Can you all give me the best way to go about this and what is the best route to financing. Like i said, Im a first time buyer and my credit is not that developed. I am looking to pay $300 to $350 a month. So can someone just give me some tips about pricing. Thanks.

IMO to achieve a monthly payment around $300 - $350 you'd either need pretty good credit, or a rather low finance rate. The latter of the two might not come easy as you stated you don't have established credit. Now keep in mind I'm not a loan officer, but I too am planning on buying a 2015 - 2016 SS within the next year, and I've done quite a bit of research on prices and finance rates. Luckily I bank with a credit union through my employer. I was advised to pay off most everything on my credit report, then get a credit card with a low limit and continue to make payments on time, and to only use about 30% of the limit to start boosting my credit score to allow me to receive a lower finance rate when I decide to buy.

Agree with Shadyeyes, get a card and charge something to get a rating.
Most important, talk with lending officer and see what they suggest.
On insurance, ask for present deductibles.
You will gain by increasing deductibles, say at least $500, better at $1000.
Good luck on both the loan and your new journey.
