Default Car Stereo Kit - help needed =)

First off hello, im new to the forums and recently bought my first camaro =) I LOVE my car, but having said that the one thing that bugs me is my stereo and the way it was designed. Here lately ive been looking into upgrading my stereo with a touch screen pioneer, kenwood or clarion. My question is about the the installition kit. My local stereo store here wanted to charge me $350 for the kit alone, which was dang near the price of the CD Player.

I was hoping some of you guys/gals could recommend a install KIT that will not break that bank

Thanks in advance

Just in case you do not realize. The reason for this is because it basically includes all new air conditioning controls. I searched a Crutchfield, and Ebay and the cheapest I found was $265. Still a lot but I can understand the price as it is not just a plastic trim kit. Let this generation get a few more years under its belt and I am sure the price will come down but I doubt it will ever be much less that $150
