Default Camaro Pricing released LS = $22,995 (base) / SS = $30,995 (base)

Saw these prices @ http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=8059 earlier tonight

I think a lot of ppl were hoping the SS would be $30k or under.

The LS seems like a pretty good value though.

It's impossible to know what they'll actually cost. msrp is one thing, dealer markup is another. They'll be marked up like crazy for the first few months.

This is the pricing that GM has sent out for the start of production of the 2010 model year for the Camaro. This pricing is subject to change at any time by GM, but most likely will not.

I almost forgot, but the MSRP for all of the Camaro models do not include the $750 destination charge. Also, it does not look like the pricing includes the dealer/GM advertising costs. These will vary in every area.

Some one from Camaro5.com ordered today and caught these invoice prices:
LS - $21,021.53
1LT - $22,566.60
2LT - $25,118.10
1SS - $28,581.53
2SS - $31,591.37

Since the Gen 5's don't have T-tops and no Z28possibilites, I'm going to stay with my '02

Not too bad, that price seems about right. That's around the price range that their competitor is charging for the new Mustang V6/GT, minus all the extra fees for the Camaro since its a new hot item. Even with all the extra fees its still gonna be worth it because you'll be getting more than what the Mustang offers, and what the Challenger offers for now. Come on, the 5th gen V6 Camaro has 4 more HP than the Mustang GT, whats not to like.

But the GT kills the V6 Camaro in torque

Well you just can't have V6 camaros taking down gt's outright, then the world would be in caos due to the fact that the camaro would no longer have any competention, and that sounds like a boring world.

I think in reality the camaros will come out on fire and the mark ups will be there. Then they will calm down and you will be able to get rebatesor other discounts. I am waiting till 01/10 to bye one after all the mark up crap is gone. I need to finish paying off my tahoe anyway so I can have both.

I don't know, in this economy, I sure think the base Camaro needs to be sub-$20k. Granted, most of us will want a lot of the fun upgrades, but the starting point needs to drop, IMHO.

Oh, and why the heck is HD Radio STILL not an OPTION?! They better have good iPhone integration, then I can stream stations I want from the phone. I also saw new Mustangs with NAV screens where is this option on Camaro?! If I can output video from an iPhone onto a Camaro dash screen, then I can do NAV even if GM doesn't offer it... But a screen implies NAV, so GM, you best include video in! ;-)
