im sure this sounds stupid to a lot of Camaro experts but I'm looking to buy my first Camaro and want a six speed and am only finding autos around me as sad as it is that they make these cars autos..... but anyways I was wondering is there certain sub models to look for that would have the six speed trans? anything i should look out for when looking at a 5th gen?

 

The six speed has been an option in SS models since 1993,they have always made more automatics so in the used market sticks are harder to find and command a premium price.
When I was shopping for a 4th gen SS it took me over half a year to find the right car,I was picky and wanted a very nice clean low mile car that had never been smoked in and it had to be a LS powered car with a 6 speed stick.
Found a few that had been run hard and in less than stellar condition so the search went on,my advice is take your time and be patient until the right car comes along.
I looked every day and night for months on end before the right one popped up,I was using a 200 mile search radius and the car I bought was only 50 miles from home.

 

Agree with Y2K, they are out there, just have to have patience.
Make a list of 1st choice, 2nd choice, 3rd choice, etc. and search.
The model you are looking for is there, like my 02 SS, she popped into my sight and I already had an 00 SS.
