Newbie to the site and already have a question.

I want to upgrade the factory head unit on my 2010 LT to a double din using the Metra install kit. I have read that GMs have a shallow dash. All of the videos I see on youtube are of 6.5" deep head units. The one I'm looking at, however, is 7" deep. I can't find any dimensions on the dash opening to determine if it will fit and not cause the kit to protrude from the dash. I'm no professional, so I don't want to fool with taking mine apart just to measure it. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

 

Check crutchfield.com. There is a toll free help number on there. Call em up and ask if a 7" will fit
