2023 Camero SS order

2023 Tuner
I have a 2023 SS on order. Dealer placed the order last week on GM order work bench. Was told may take 6 months, depending on when the factor picked up the order. He told me if they had not picked it up in two weeks, he would run it through their larger Chevy dealership. The dealerships have no control over this. As soon as it arrives I plan on adding headers. My question is, what is the best tuner available to reprogram after the header install? Its there a chip available to plug in that will take care of this?

Most aftermarket tuners will want to be sure there software will be ok in any new model year. I suspect ones that work in 2022 would work in 2023 but you just can not be sure.
Looks like the Camaro will be the only tune-able GM car in 2023. GM did not spend the money to upgrade to the newest electronic due to the line shutting down in a year. This is also why the Camaro is not getting the newest magnetic ride or the new LT5 motor in the ZL1.
Tuning for headers is not really needed unless the header company mover the o2 sensor far away from where the factory positioned it. As a general rule on these modern engines the exhausted manifolds are designed for the application. Unlike old cars they are not stealing a bunch or power. Headers may add a little HP at wide open throttle but the factory has already richened up the fuel at wide open throttle so there is not much you can do. Real chips are a thing of the past (early 90s). Tuning the computer is the only options. I am sure you will be able to find a hand held tuner that will say it does tuning for headers. But your best bet is to catch a tuner at a show and get it tuned on the dyno on the spot.
