2011 Camaro V6 2LT RS - loud noises in winter
Hello Folks,
I am hearing loud noises from my Camaro, wanted to find out if anyone else having similar issues and what solutions they found.
So the problem is,
Since the last two winters I have been hearing loud noises when starting up the car on any cold morning. It would start to sound like a rushing or rubbing noise and i hear it more as I step on gas and whenever i start making a turn (stepping on gas didn't matter in this case). Also it sounds like a metal plate vibrating and rubbing, as if you are sharpening a knife on a rotating stone.
I took it to the dealer ship last winter and they just ruled it out saying they couldn't reproduce it. I started hearing it again it again this winter and I am nearing 36K mile/3 year warranty period, which makes me more worried about the expenses when it turns out to be a problem.
Before going to the dealer ship again, i wanted to find out if they is anyone seeing the same issue with their camaro.

Sincere apologies to learn of the loud noises you're hearing and I understand any frustration this causes. While I understand you're seeking opinions, feel free to message me privately (if you feel an official GM diagnosis is needed) and I'll reach out to a customer care specialist. They help resolve customer issues at the dealer level if you decide to take the vehicle in.

Hi William,
Sorry for the late reply. Got pretty busy during the holidays and since it's year end for us at work.
Anyway please advise how you want me to proceed.
I am from Columbus, OH. Having a very bad winter this year, i have been hearing more and more noises these days.
Also a few months ago I had a different issue with the car, while driving on the freeway, i started this vibration from the car like I am driving on a bumpy road. So when I took it to the dealership they fixed it (don't remember what exactly the issue is). I am seeing the same issue again since two days, apparently it's back again.
While I reached my three warranty period though my miles are still at 31K, I am afraid I will have to pay for all these issue the dealership ignored in the first hand.
How do you think I proceed with these issues? Also let me know how to send you private messages?
By the way the dealership I have been visiting about these issues is Dave Gill Chevrolet, Columbus.
Thanks,
Naveen,
