Default 2010 LS V6 tire sizes (going big)

I have a 2010 LS V6 i just bought and i am going to do quite a bit to it but i dont know what to do about the tires. i want the retro drag look and i want to keep the stock wheels but put bigger tires on it but dont know how big i can go..... i was thinking 255 in the front and 275 in the rear but dont know what profile tire to look for.... my goal is to fill the wheel well
any help is appricated


plans for an SS beating LS V6!!!!!!!!

why not use a lowering spring to achieve that moreso than a bigger tire? Also, what are you looking for? Just a wider tire, or taller as well? you could probably get away with a 275/55/18 in the rear, but it will make your speedometer off by about 2.5 mph. It really does depend on the rim too, if it can handle that wide of a tire, if it can, try a 305/45/18 and see what happens

You might also look for a tire size calculator on google. there is one from miata dot net that has been used for years.
