Default Window Felt Replacement

Thought I'd post some pictures of last weekend's fun project, new window felts and moldings!

Passenger side with panel removed. Factory water barrier paper was missing.

Passenger panel with some water damage. And of course my trusty supervisor.

Passenger panel molding replaced, old school staples are a bit more sturdy than what you get nowadays. Supervisor giving it the final check off.

Inner felts and outer molding replaced.

New 21st century water barrier (not treated paper), complete with bacon duct tape!

Passenger door done!

And the driver's side... Essentially the same steps.

Had to account for the mirror adjustment on this one.

Same story, missing factory water barrier paper

And a bit more water damage on this side

After installing new felts, i adjusted all these to gently grip the window as it rolls up and down.

Outer molding and inner felts done.

It was Sunday, so the supervisor wasn't around to help out.

Water barrier in. This was much easier as i used the passenger side as a template before installing it.

Driver side done!

Nice soft felts and moldings! I'm sure it would have taken a pro a couple hours, but it took me 3 days. What fun!!

Sorry i couldnt find the make, but got them from National Parts Depot. (P/N C-10710-14KAR) These are without exterior belt moldings. (Honestly I don't know what that means) but they do have the chrome bead on the exterior molding. Hope that helps.

Thanks for the reply,
I have the Repops felt kit CA163a and it will work, but only with some modifications by my Dremel tool. (68 Camaro Convertible) Here is a pic of the removal of the "Beltline special molding" which was an option.
