Newb (not to Camaro's though)
With my kid being almost 21 now, and single (i know...don't ask), i'm getting the itch to get back to messing around with anything with a motor again. Parents had a '78, then an iroc in the late 80's. My first car was a plain jane '86 that I messed with every day, different engine every year it seemed. Then got myself a near mint '81 from a girl I knew. Her parents made her sell it. Spotless inside and out. Then I had a kid (this was 1995) and it had to go.
Got the itch again and I miss the fun and the smells of working on cars, and just wanted to snoop around and start reading up on stuff. Eventually looking to get a project to mess around with just to get myself into it again.
oh, btw....Hello.

welcome go to general section of the car you have now an post any ? I have 95 z28 with modified 406 an a 98-02 front end conversion as well as 99 base 3800 there nice I like them, engine swaps are much easyer on the 3rd 2 gens then the 4th gens do, as they have a lot more room under the hood an better for carbed engines bigger engine bays ,4th gens just dont have much room but done right I have the carbed 406 in my 95 ,looking back a 92 would have been better choise for my engine ,but shes a runner

Welcome, XLT,
Do research and make a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd choices.
After purchasing, buy a Haynes manual for the model & year - better than nothing.
Also, make a logbook noting the changes from OE design for future references - as we get older, we tend forget.
