I bought my 94 camaro (black) and when i bought it i thought it had over spray on it caue the spots that were on it came off from the windows. I tried to take them off the paint only to find out that they were in the clear coat. My firend told me that the car had a high end paint job at one time and the clear coat had gold fleck in it well in the flordia sun that gold fleck bleached so now i was wondering what i can do to remove the clear coat keep the paint in tack i hope and jus tget new clear coat put on any suggestions?

Wet sanding very carefully will allow you take off just the clear coat. It is very time consuming and very dangerous. I recomend taling it to a body/collision shop.

If they are in the clear coat, you'll have to have the clear removed to get to them.
Are you positive it's not on top of the clear? A clay-bar might help if it is...

Even then the car will need to be painted. You cannot just re-clear over old base color. I agree with Dan, it might just be surface contaminate, as I have not seen gold flake in a modern paint job. Take it to a good body shop and see what they say.
