Anyone know of any problems swapping a Powerglide with a TH350? Trans went on me and can get a rebuilt TH350 for a great price, but not worth it if there's any kind of install issues.

The 350 is a stronger transmission than the 700 or 4 spd auto.as long as the mileage isn't too high or wooped on too much, but the gas milage is better with the 700.you may need a different cross member and slip yoke not to mention the shifters would be different .2, 3, or ,4 speed. that is all part of the fun in doing it yourself. you may want to keep the powerglide if you ever want the car factory correct again one day in the future.(I have found no matter who rebuilds a component sooner or later the original problem seems to come back...but then I always drive it like I stole it )

Swapping to a Turbo 350 is just a bolt in, and no issues except the shifter. You'll want to go with either a factory shifter for a T350, or an aftermarket shifter.
I did this swap years ago on my wife's 1970 Nova, and it sure made a stronger, better performing car with the extra gear.

If your car was originally equipped with an automatic trans, all you have to do is reverse what was done to put the slushbox in there. The T350 replaced the Powerglide as of the 1969 model year.

This is not true. Not sure where you got that info, but they are of nearly identical strength.
