i have a totally stock 97 Z28 and i want to get like 400 HP out of it. I have heard some people say that you can get it with a new set of LT4 heads(which are very hard to find) and an LT4 cam. But i really dont know so what should i do to get this 400 horse

if you want to get to 400 its gonna take some interal work my 96 z28 has 340rwhp and i put in a new cam heads larger valves exhaust an msd ignition and i got it dyno tuned so a lt4 intake would help that is actually my next upgrade you can find them pretty cheap on ebay i foun one for 200 brand new taken off a lt4 crate motorit should add another 10 horses if all that does not get the power you want stroke it if you want to keep it na of course if you dont super or turbo charge it good luck and have fun

thanx i think im goin to get a cam and an LT4 manifold a MSd ignition headers and exhaust but one other question. should i get LT4 heads or just port my original LT1 heads

Get the best heads you can find, thats where the real power is in any engine.

yeah if you can definaetly get the best heads out there and you might want to think about upgrading your injectors i ran into a problem with my injectors not giving me enough fuel so i went from 32lbs injectors to 45lbs injectors

can i do all this and keep it street legal in California

the only problem you might have in cali is pollution emmissions is a problem right i dont think you would be able to pass an im test so you might want to keep your cats on also noise i dont know how strict 5o is on noise ordinances because your car will be loud thats all i can think of man
