Default TCC PWM SOL Circuit Help - 96 Chevy Camaro RS V6-3.8L Vin K

Hi, I have a 1996 Chevy Camaro RS. Ever since I recieved the car it has had a p1860 code attached to it. The code refers to TCC PWM Sol Valve Circuit Electrical. DTC type A. Since working on the car trying to clear the code, I have detected a short from PIN U to the PCM. I replaced that wire from the transmission to the PCM. Now I do not get the code instantly but after 5 seconds of the vehicle running the code resurfaces. The TCC PWM Solenoid was replaced, the internal wiring harness was replaced and I replaced the pressure valve position switch. The transmission gets around 12v to 13v while running; tested with a multi meter. I also replaced the valve internals beside the TCC PWM Solenoid with a Tekpak upgrade. Can retrieve the actual part number if that is relevant but I think not. Anyways after all this the code still remains. My conclusion is to replace the full PCM at this point? I dont have a fancy code reader that let's me test if it is actually engaging the solenoid or not. I've also seen that it can be due to the ignition switch providing low voltage to the Transmission but I am get 13v at the transmission. What do you recommend?

Also as far as driving the car, it will act fine at first start, I drove the car across town, put gas in the car then drove a bit further, I stopped at another gas station for about 10 minutes to check my phone etc, parked with the car off. When I started the car it was fine but then trying to pull onto the highway the car acts like it is in neutral and just revs the motor. I waited at the gas station for about ten minutes then proceeded to drive a bit down the road but could not maintain a steady speed. I had to keep pulling off on the shoulder and let it sit before it would resume driving. I eventually towed the car back home. I haven't drove it since as I cannot afford tow bills. I dont want to drive it until that code is cleared for good.

No problem craby, just looking for ideas at this point. I just find it hard to believe the PCM has failed at that one location for the P1860 code to appear but don't know where else to go with it.

After dropping the tans pan the first time, it did not look good. The trans fluid was not completely black and had red tint to it but you could tell it had never been cracked opened or changed. Took me about an hour or more to get the old gasket off the pan. At the bottem of the pan was a black sludge, I assume that was from the clutch. No metal shards or anything of the sort, just sludge. Of course I removed all that and put new AC Delco trans fluid in it and a new filter.

Now that I've been thinking about it; I do remember it having metallic look to it. Do you think the transmission is cooked? Would it be better to replace the transmission with another used transmission or to rebuild the transmission myself? Also would that cause the p1860 code that refuses to leave even though it is an electrical code?

I suppose the next step would be to replace the PCM. We have an S10 in the garage we are building to take to our local drag strip; after that project is finished I can put the camaro back in the garage and drop the transmission to get a better look at everything if the PCM does not resolve the issue. Any advice or ideas are very welcome. I will keep the fourm updated on any solution I find. Here are some pics of said car. Its a beauty 😍 also forgot to mention it is an automatic 4l60e.

I would be thinking the crud in the trans is plugging up things in the valve body. add to that clutch plates being warn and changing to clean fluid will cause slipping issue in many transmissions depending on how much is left on the clutch plates. the crud helps the clutch plates to grab.
