probably would rub and on an 8" rim that tire would sit too tall and the rear of the car would sit too high also

To tall? it's a 275/50..........the OD is 26' that is shorter then a 235 60. the sides may rub a little but it won't be to tall. What do you have now? and what would you run up front? If you run that size you would have to run a 225/60 or 215/60 up front .

I have a 225 60 15 on the front right now and a 255 70 15 on the back and thats is 28.1 in tall so i want to go a little shorter but i wanted to know if the other ones will fit or not. They might be too wide but i read some where with the right off set they would fit, i was just wondering what that offset was.

Look on the inside of your rear tier, if you have about 1/2 inch gap then the 275's will fit.275's are only 2 cm wider then the 255's you have now so see no reason for them not to work.
