stipes??

Default stipes??

so i bought my camaro and it's black and its got this awful red vynil stripes down the hood and the back of it. for some odd reason they didn't do it on the roof of the car.....what i want to know is does anyone have any idea on how to take these stripes off????

any tips would be great

You should be able the spay them down with dish liquid and water and should come up.

FYI! You will notice a color difference from where the paint was covered from the stripes and what was not covered. You may want to buff it out and the color difference won't be as noticeable.

okay thanks guys, i did a practice run on the spoiler and they came off pretty easy and after a wash n' wax you can't even really tell that the stripes were there.....ill take before and after pics of the hood and trunk after i get them off

i was told a hair drier will help take them off real easy, and a regular hair drier wont get hot enough to hurt anything like a heat gun will

i have heard of that method to take off emblems and stuff along those lines and it works really well, but in my current location and situation the soap idea is going to have to be the first thing i try because taking them off with nothing really isn't very easy......spoiler took me nearly an hour
