Soo my dads friend was telling me that i am able to put some 94 camaro rims on my 89 but its a differnt generation???? [sm=helpout.gif][sm=helpout.gif]
and i have been told from a local shop that they wont work but i dont know which one to believe.
Help a young kid out here.

 

I believe it will work. Lug pattern for the '94 is 5x4.75. I'm quite sure that's what yours is also. If they're near you, go check it out, and try them on.

 

ya the pattern is the same but i think the offset is a lil differnt.

 

I'm fairly certain they'll still fit. I agree, if they're near try them on. Or if you know of a friend with a 4th gen, try on of his wheels. Gm was smart and cept the bolt patterns the same for ALONG time.

If you want to use 4th Gen wheels on a 3rd gen car, you will need 2.5 thick spacers on the front. The offset of the front amd rear are quite different on 3rd gen vs 4th gen cars.

 

So i just have to get 2.5 think spacers an they will work?

Waait.... So I only need spacers for the front end of my 91 to put on my 4th gen rims?

the only thing you need to worry about is rubbing due to bad backspacing. this is what the spacers do for you. so get the rims u want and get spacers if ti doesnt sit right
