best paint brand is all opinion (like best exhaust). as much as you think your car has no dents, I'm sure if you went to black, the body would need a lot of work. black needs the most perfect cars to look good because it is the worst color for showing ANY little flaw.

as for the color change, how far are you willing to go? a proper color change on a car will cost you thousands, on top of the thousands you will already laidout for the regular paintjob.

you would need to pull your engine and most everything under the hood, pull all the glass, and even remove a lot of interior panels the butt up to the jambs of the car. if you don't do this, it will look totally hacked!

the one color that you can usually get away with not changing under the hood, and still looking right (and almost factory), would be to have a car that was originally black, and want tot change it to a different color because a lot of cars have black engine compartments from the factory anyway

hope this gave you a little more insight for what you are thinking about

you really can't do that either because the car doesn't have the added bracing that the convertibles are built with

the cheapest way to change the looks of a car, is to do a rim and tire swap. as far as paint goes, if you go with a two-tone (has to be done right, not just for the sake of doing it) paintjob, you can usually follow the bodylines of the car and still not have to go as extreme into the paintjob (engine compartment and stuff like that)

good luck with your project

Stripes will help change the look and arent as expensive or as radical as a whole not paint job

no, no, no...that looks like two totalled cars were cut in half and welded together. people go with the top one color, and the bottom another. you just have to be sure to follow the bodylines so it will look right.

if your car needs paint, and you throw stripes on top of the worn paint, it will just make your paint look even worse. if you are repainting your car, then you can have stripes painted on under the clear and that has a nice look
