Default Newbie with rust issues

I have lots o'rust in random spots on my car and I want to protectthe rest of it from further damage .I am already in need of both driver and passenger floor pannels and fenders and quite possibly a rear qurter pannel . I pulled up the carpet and found the laywers underneath were soaked and junk (but i cant get the seat off cause it wont slide forward so i cant get to the back bolts ) I dont know what products work and what products just want your money but I need something to protect underneath the car. The car will be going into storage soon . Thakns for any info & thoughts

Well I say just fix all the rust on it, and then take it to a dealer or someplace and have it undercoated.

POR-15 is what you're looking for. Its an excellent product for preventing rust, a little pricey, but well worth your money. My dad used it on his C3 in the engine compartment and in some other spots when he restored it, and it holds up and looks great.

And this belongs somewhere that you'll get more actual help...OT isn't really the best place for tech stuff a lot of the time [&:]

As far as your rust problem, sorry I can't help you much there, body work isn't my forte, but somebody in the Exterior section will be able to help!

...Hey look at that, we're in the Exterior section...awesome

I agree 100%

The Eastwood Company also have their own brand of stuff that works just as well. I just don't know how the price compares
