when i took my wheels off, i looked on the inside of the rims and i realized that the metal was pitting and i decided to paint over it.i just wanted to hear some opinoins on what i did, also, i would like to know how long it would last before i would have to re-do it.

i think you did a good job cleaning them up but what color are the insides and why???

i have the torq thrust 2's and i was thinking when they start to look like that i want to paing the insides black.

 

the color was just regular silver spray paint i got from auto-zone. when i get the car outside ill take some pics of the wheels on the car.

 

to answer why...um... because they looked really bad w/o it and i would have painted them black but if the wheels start to pit again, and take the paint off in the process, i would be left with black and a whole bunch of specs of silver

 

i painted my aluminum wheels with black caliper paint, thinking the ceramic in it would hold better then wheel paint. But mine lasted about a year without chipping. That's also been through the winter. So with out the winter, i could see 2 years probably.
